Beyond Apple: From Temptation to Liberation at New York Fashion Week

Beyond Apple: From Temptation to Liberation at New York Fashion Week

Beyond Apple. Beyond the Obvious.

A story of ripe desire, couture rebellion, and the modern woman's journey from temptation to freedom.

We knew from the very beginning that this collection had to be fresh, organic, and unapologetically sinful. Sinful not in guilt, but in exposure, a celebration of what is usually hidden, now revealed. Beyond Apple was our invitation to let go, to embrace boldness without fear.

The apple was chosen for its iconic quality, the fruit of origins, temptation, and endless interpretations. Yet for us, the apple is only the beginning. Beyond Apple asks the modern woman to move through temptation, to taste discovery, and to arrive at liberation.

This capsule collection was conceived as a collaboration between Priscilla Couture and TKINK, two brands speaking from different voices yet united in one story. From altar to fascination, every detail was carefully considered. Our muse is authentic. She is daring without hesitation. She does not fear desire; she claims it.

Crafting the Vision

To build this story, we created our own textures. The base was a natural white silk taffeta, hand-dyed in our atelier into the luscious hues of candy apple red and pool blue. Luxurious silks met everyday cottons. Couture collided with rebellion. This deliberate tension is what gives the collection its impeccable sense of freedom.

Beyond Apple is couture in its construction yet light in spirit. Luxury here does not need to be heavy. It flows into the street, into intimacy, into every scene of a woman’s life. Though born from a single inspiration, each brand carries its identity within the collection.

The materials themselves tell the story:

Synthetics: soft tulle, sheer mesh.

Unconventional: garden fence plastic screen from Home Depot.

Embellishments: safety pins, exposed zippers, hand-beaded appliqué.

The Day of the Show

New York gifted us a perfect Sunday. The sun was clear, the air charged with anticipation. We left Philadelphia at 11am and arrived at Hotel Hugo just past noon. Over lunch with family and team, we toasted to what was about to unfold.

By mid-afternoon, the ninth floor of the hotel had transformed into our backstage universe. Ten models, ten looks. Fittings fastened, seams adjusted, heels rehearsed against carpeted corridors that became our first runway. Time dissolved into a blur of pins, brushes, and laughter.

At 7pm, the call came. We were next. The models gathered in perfect alignment, each carrying the allure of the collection. On the rooftop terrace, beneath the New York sky, the music began.

The Runway Unfolds

The story opened with The Seduced Dress, a fully beaded column with draped sleeves, bare shoulders, and crystal clarity sculpting the body. She had been tempted, she had surrendered.

Next came The Fabulous Black Look: TKINK’s bodysuit with its audacious safety pin statement necklace, paired with Priscilla Couture’s sculptural leather waistband skirt. Sensual strength in motion.

The third was a provocation wrapped in gossamer: a red silk organza robe embroidered with a single dare, Bite Me.

Fourth came rebellion with precision, a black denim blazer with powerful shoulders and intricate back embroidery, paired with white leather shorts carrying our invention, the invisible crotch zipper.

Then lightness: a short white cocktail dress, reversible by design. Silk taffeta on one side, an upcycled Fuck Tee on the other, both sliced with exposed zippers.

The sixth: black leather shorts and a jacket with removable safety chains.

The seventh: half-caged corsetry where hardware and couture collide.

The eighth: high-waisted leather trousers with invisible zipper, paired with TKINK’s hooded leather vest, at once mysterious and dominant.

Ninth came the rebel in white, a dripping water Fuck Tee paired with a sinful skirt that danced, alive with swing and defiance.

And then the finale: freedom in pool blue. A draped, asymmetrical, backless gown. Simple yet dominant. Floating yet unforgettable.

As the last notes faded, I returned to the runway with our final muses. The applause was warm and unending, sealing Beyond Apple as more than fashion. It was liberation, ripe and undeniable.

Closing Reflections

After a few days of rest and reflection, our hearts remain full. Beyond Apple was not only a dream realized but also a spark cast into the universe. The goal was met, the message delivered, the resonance undeniable.

We are grateful to the Philadelphia Fashion Incubator and KW Productions for enabling another collaboration where fashion meets cause. When style and purpose walk together, the result is unforgettable.

Our deepest thanks to the ten extraordinary models who brought our vision to life, to the makeup and hair team who sculpted them into muses, to Kyle Woodland for producing and orchestrating this beautiful event, and to Elissa Bloom for her invaluable guidance.

To the Hotel Hugo for hosting our collection with care. To our team — Quiona Faust, Max, and Emil — your dedication was fundamental. To my husband, Vince Marie, Mama, Alia, Jerry and to my children and mother, whose presence I carried in spirit throughout this journey.

Beyond Apple was born of passion and crafted with love. We invite you to follow us for fresh updates, share your reflections with us, and discover the collection soon available to order on our website.
